Dragons of Samhain
The Dragon of Shandon Samhain Parade
31 Oct. 2010, Cork, Ireland
One of the best things about living in Cork is the creativity and liveliness of the art scene. One of the best things about living in Ireland is seeing the mishmash of history and religion that are present nearly everywhere you go. One of the best things about October is that the two come together for one magical night: Samhain.
Wikipedia defines Samhain as "…a Gaelic festival held on October 31–November 1. The Irish name Samhain is derived from Old Irish and means roughly 'summer's end'." The term is often used by neopagans as a way of reclaiming the holiday and injecting it with some of the dignity and culture the event once had. It is one of the Wiccan sabbats. It is said to be the time when the "veil between the worlds is thinnest," which makes it conducive to communication with those who have traveled over to the other side. I have also heard it said that it is the Celtic New Year (unconfirmed!) or a time between the worlds, when nothing after sunset on the 31st and before sunrise on Nov. 1st really counts as real. Good times!
Throughout October, I was very excited to see signs around the center of Cork for the Dragon of Shandon's Samhain parade. Not simply a Halloween parade, a SAMHAIN PARADE! Oooo! *clapping in excitement* What fun!
The Dragon of Shandon website explains the parade thusly:
Samhain – the time between times …
The Dragon of Shandon is a street parade celebration of Samhain and creative partnership between artists and communities that takes place on the night of October 31st in the heart of Shandon, Cork , Ireland.
Each year thousands take to the streets of Shandon on Cork ’s Northside to walk with the Dragon as it travels between worlds in a celebration of the living and the dead accompanied by an assortment of creatures from the underworld.
…The centrepiece of each parade is the Dragon, 12 meters of sellotape and animated by twelve puppeteers on the night who walk it through the streets of Shandon along with an array of illuminated props, lanterns and characters.
Cork Community Art Link invites you this Samhain to dress up and walk with the Dragon through the historic heart of Shandon.
And so it was with great anticipation that I grabbed Dario and our upstairs neighbor, a nice Canadian lady, and headed out to brave the dragon! :D As we waited with the crowd for the parade to come down the hill and run along the water, strange things started floating up the river: Photos… http://www.tourabsurd.com/dragon-shandon-samhain-parade

Martina Hoffmann's DNA Art
Martina Hoffmann's "Spirit Wind" and 'Vitreous Ovum' are paintings about awakening to "the Source" and higher consciousness. This term is more neutral and has less overlays than the word God or other names that have been given to the energetic, organizing, and spiritual force that guides all existences throughout the Universe. I consider the Source to be infinite and abundant in essence and available to us all. At this planetary turning point we have the choice to rename the ‘Void’ as the ‘Plenum' and to acknowledge the fact that there is unlimited free energy potential within our reach.
Martina works as a painter and sculptress and is a major contemporary visionary artist. Her paintings offer a detailed view into her inner landscapes - imagery inspired by meditation, shamanic journeys and dreams, with the sacred feminine as a central theme. Her work has been exhibited and collected worldwide. For 30 years, until his recent passing, she was the life partner of the visionary painter Robert Venosa.

Self-Transcending Experience
There are "unknown" qualities of consciousness. Most of us have had anomalous experiences. What can loosely be called 'events' appear within our space and time. During such an event you may have an imaginal conversation with other people, visit strange lands, or interact with total reality in uncommon ways. These events may have a purpose beyond conscious realization, so that we are 'doing more than we know'. Neurological explanations may be inadequate.
Our storied experiences hint at the multidimensional nature of the human psyche, and of the self within. Each of us is quite capable of creating psychological bridges to Total reality using this imaginal capacity, an inherent part of our human nature. We operate from the premise that we are delicately balanced between realities, choosing from a myriad of possibilities, using the clear focus of our own consciousness.
Precognition applies from birth, where we are quite aware on unconscious levels of the conditions that we will meet in the life that spreads out ahead of us. Our impulses reflect those unconscious levels of knowledge, and , when followed, will help us make choices. Although the conditions open to us are 'set' in one way, they are still filled with possibilities. We make decisions, based on impulses, inclinations, and proclivities rooted in unconscious knowledge.
Precognition and our impulses are woven together, and with these we continue to create the framework of our lives. You have created your present situation from your nature and the unconscious knowledge you were born with. Your experiences are not the accidental outcome of a mechanical universe. The impulse to act, in one possible direction, is the result of your unconscious knowledge of your possible future.
It is more than neurological psychological structure, or mathematical ideas of statistics. Consciousness is composed of energy. Your psyche can be modeled as an energetic conglomeration , following rules and properties that physics is only beginning to acknowledge. There are certain laws of dynamics that apply to the psyche, which is the energy source of the self, where the self is an energy gestalt of consciousness. That nucleus, according to its intensity, will attract to it certain possibilities from all the energy patterns available to it, the possible choices it has.

Dragon Esoterics
"To let each impression and each embryo of a feeling come to completion, entirely in itself, in the dark, in the unsayable, the unconscious, beyond the reach of one's own understanding, and with deep humility and patience to wait for the hour when a new clarity is born: this alone is what it means to live as an artist: in understanding as in creating." --Rainer Maria Rilke
Concealment & Revelation: The Western esoteric tradition represents a distinct form of spirituality extending from Hermeticism, Neo-Platonism and Gnosticism in the early Christian era up until the present. Diffused by Arab and Byzantine culture into medieval Europe, these esoteric currents experienced a marked revival through the Florentine neo-Platonists of the late fifteenth century. From the sixteenth to the eighteenth centuries, esoteric spirituality was carried by Renaissance magic, Christian Kabbalah, Natural Philosophy (proto-science), astrology, alchemy, German Naturphilosophie, theosophy, Rosicrucianism, Freemasonry until the modern occult revival in the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries, in which Theosophy played an important role.
Alongside and within this Western tradition, Arabic and Jewish currents have played a major role since the Latin Middle Ages. Arabic astrology, alchemy and natural science entered the medieval West through southern Italy and Spain from the tenth century onwards. In the fifteenth-century Jewish kabbalists in Spain and Italy assisted the Christian assimilation of Kabbalah, which henceforth became a major strand of European esoteric spirituality and thought. Accounts of spiritual ascent, angelic hierarchies and religious experience evidence strong commonalities between the Jewish, Christian and Islamic esoteric traditions.
Esotericism, as an academic field, refers to the study of alternative or marginalized religious movements or philosophies whose proponents in general distinguish their own beliefs, practices, and experiences from public, institutionalized religious traditions. Among areas of investigation included in the field of esotericism are alchemy, astrology, Gnosticism,
Hermeticism, Kabbalah, magic, mysticism, textual hermeneutics, interpretations of ritual/liturgy and art. Esotericism draws a distinction between the theosophic and esoteric. 'Occult' simply means 'hidden.'
The modern term “Western esotericism” is used as a general label for a great variety of religious currents and trends in Western culture – from Antiquity generally, and from the Renaissance to the present more in particular – characterized by their belief that true knowledge of God, the world, and man can only be attained by means of personal spiritual experience or inner enlightenment. The first English usage is found in Thomas Stanley, History of Philosophy(1701), with reference to the mystery-school of Pythagoras who divided his disciples into the "exoteric" (under training), and "esoteric" (admitted into the "inner" circle).
Faivre's differentiation in Access to Western Esotericism (p. 23 & 33-35) is given as follows:
* Mysticism: Direct, often revelatory knowledge (Gnosis) of the Divine, mainly without intermediaries.
* Esotericism: Gnosis through intermediaries, symbols, initiatiory practices, (rituals, theurgy), etc.
* Occultism: Practices or actions deriving their legitimacy from esotericism (where esotericism is theory/worldview and occultism is practice/action that derives from it).
Magic can be religious but it does not equal religion. There are two types of magic - Theurgy and Thaumaturgy, the former being magic as worship, and hence religious, and the latter being magic to do things, which may also be religious or may not. Among the things magic can do is potentiate our higher consciousness, and this is its most suitable use. Nature directly reveals her Wisdom.
Such ceremonial magic relies heavily on symbol system manipulation, identification and dialogue with archetypal forces, with similar results to Jungian amplification, using ritual instead of free association. It makes manifest that which was formerly concealed or hidden from the conscious mind of the participant, leading to experiential knowledge of primordial forces. It builds awareness of the higher vehicles, including the etheric, subtle or energy body, mental body and Light Body. True ritual and ceremonial magic, involves Words of Power, consciousness-altering sounds, gestures, postures and Sacred Movements; means of activating centers and energy systems of the subtle bodies; subtle body diagnosis and healing; methods of attack and defense; metamorphosis and transformation of the bodies; psychospiritual alchemy; philosophy and theology of Cosmos and Chaos.
If one conceptualizes magic as coming from, or through, a god(s) then all magic could be considered religious. If on the other hand one considers magic as either a phenomena of the natural world or a skill of humans, then one might not consider it magical, although if one admits that a deity(ies) created the manifest universe then arguably one might argue that all magiic is religious as it has its source in a god(s).
Magic is totally separable from religion. An atheist magician might well take this position. One who has integrated physical body, conscious mind, and the unconscious already can be distinguished functionally from less developed human beings by consciously inhabiting a wider spectrum of imaginal dimensions of experience. Symbolic meaning is created on the path of individuation. Symbols appear in myths, fairy tales and rituals, as well as dreams, active imagination, and projection. They activate the transcendent function in psychic life and become a primary motivator of change, of transformation. We learn to intuit the past as well as the future to amplify and deepen the present.
Alchemists sought the experience of Unus Mundus, the one world united through material, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects. Science illuminates the spiritual quest, and spiritual tech illuminates the deep nature of matter and our nature. Paradoxically, when we look into the depths of matter, we look into the depths of ourselves. Scientists and mystics report similar phenomena in their models and phenomenology.
Spiritual technologies, the software of sacred penetration and amplification, virtually predicted the fine nature of matter as nothing but a complex illusion - what we have come to understand as a hologram. Existence is simultaneously real and unreal, as quantum physics reveals. Mystics have also always emphasized the primal nature of Light, and claimed that we are in fact made of light itself. Science has confirmed this in numerous ways. We now speak about the mystics Law of Vibration in terms of resonance and field theory.
The Philosopher's Stone may be equated with the Body of Light (Photonic Body; Scalar Field Body), the Resurrection Body, or the Immortal Body. Alchemy strives for the experience of spiritual rebirth through the union of opposites, or the sacred marriage. The Philosopher's Stone is also a symbol of the embryonic Self. It is the product of the sacred marriage, which has been characterized in alchemy as the Hierosgamos, Royal Union of the Sun (+) and the Moon (-). The symbolism conceals the Great Mystery. It cannot be known without being experienced.
Magic is therefore not necessarily under the umbrella of religion, and might be conceived as an ancient method of self-potentiation and self-development. Dragon Mysteries, as a current, historically ran parallel to religion. It is a worldview and there are many schools of thought. Dragons are neurologically hardwired for magic, whether they choose to pursue it, or not. The Dragon Mysteries emphasize potentiating the subtle and endocrine systems of clan members, to enhance visionary and illuminative states. Integration of body and mind opens the way to exploration of the unconscious, deepening the meaning of life. The inner void opens into a Plenum. Ultimately, the spiritual domain merges with the mundane into a unified experience of Awareness.

DRAGON ARCHETYPE: The Dragon Field
The Dragon is the universal energetic field, slumbering at the center of the Universe. A hidden Dragon sleeps within our deep nature and guides our collective destiny. All the virtual and electromagnetic waves bathe all things in this radiation, in their motion. Through miniscule perturbations, waves can change to forms and images that can speak, becoming voices that can be heard by our sensitive energy bodies, feeding on biophotonic light. Transformed to vision and dreams they produce presentiments in us. We learn to see through our Dragon Eyes.
The prime paradigm of each era is that of its Age. Our story can only be understood against the vast backdrop of the archetype of Eternal Return: the Great Cycle of Precession which changes world Ages, but not without catastrophic growing pains. The Dragon remains unchanging at the heart of this process. Earth wants an answer to Chaos, and it may be We Dragon. The axiom "As Above, So Below" means Earth's sacred dragon clan mystically connects with the Dragon, the "Infinite Nothing" at the center of the Universe. Society is recalibrated from this cosmic zero-point -- an Archaic Renaissance begins the Great Cycle anew, and Earth once again knows the Dragon's footprint.
The Dragon symbolizes the universal ether as the fundamental light frequency or form of ‘pure energy’. All other forms of energy are a modification of this primal energy, creating the impression of a concrete physical world, along with the astral impressions of the imagination, and the various sensations and perceptions that accompany human existence. It appears that reality has two aspects: the underlying field continuum, and the nature of the form perceived in it.
The Asian Dragon represents chi, or universal prana, feeding on dragon energy. The Dragon is also connected with the serpent of wisdom, the dynamic energy connecting the paths of the tree of life, and sometimes depicted in myth as swallowing the sun or moon during eclipses. It is also related to the kundalini within another context. In one sense, Draco is the personification of Nuit, and infinite space itself. Ananta, the great serpent which surrounds the Universe, devours its own tail, thereby reducing it to Zero.
Drakenberg is a transformative imperative. The Akashic records are an energetic pattern, a frequency like a tuning fork vibration. Holographic images are pictures captured in light and hold the feeling of events and emotions so they may be viewed again as a learning tool. We can "consult" with our ancestors. In recent decades modern science has verified what the ancient traditions intuited long ago. In both tangible and mysterious ways, we are all interconnected, and any one of us can have a profound effect on the whole.
If you accept the perennial mystical teaching that, at the level of consciousness, we are not only interconnected, but are actually one Self seeing through many eyes, then it should be clear that, like it or not, in the way we conduct our inner and outer lives, each of us is in fact always having an effect on the whole. What would you do if you realized that the entire human endeavor, the evolution of consciousness itself, depended on your willingness to transform your own consciousness?

Invoking the Dragon
Summon the Dragon by its true name. The true name of an object or entity is the sound it vibrates to, i.e., its frequency. This includes the Primal Dragon. Its definitive and purest name/frequency is the one it possessed when it was initially created at the beginning of time, OM. OM is known among the eastern adepts as the Pranava, meaning "that which creates prana." Prana, or life force, is what constituted the body or matrix of the Primal Dragon. In the cosmological order of creation, after its initial birth as life force the Primal Dragon created the physical universe out of itself by contracting and crystalling the life force that comprised its own body. Thus, the orignal frequency/name, and the best one to summon the Dragon, is OM.
Another frequency/name of the Dragon that will summon it as the life force is the letter "K" by itself or as "Ku." The ancient Dragon Masters were named Ku Ma Ra because they had united the universal polarity, the female and male principles (the Ma and Ra), to produce life as the life force or pure energy (the Ku). As Kumara, which was their frequency/name, they resided in bodies of pure Dragon Force.
"K" and "Ku" are included in many universal terms that denote the life force, including Ki, Reiki, and Kundalini (high frequency life force). They are also part of names ascribed to the Primal Dragon, including Enki, Can (pronounced Kan), Vasuki, Kukulcan, Quetzlcoatl, and Ammon Kematuf. And they have also been incorporated into the names of those figures and adepts who were born from and/or incarnated the Dragon power and wisdom, including Cain (pronounced Kain), Krishna, Christ (Khrist), Karttikeya, Kukulcan, Quetzlcoatl, Kahuna, Kumara, Kaberoi, Korybante, etc.
When you intone the name of the Primal Dragon you are a modern Merlin summoning his dragon to do his bidding. In India, and within the religion of Christianity, OM as Om or Amen is chanted at the begining and/or end of all prayers to summon the dragon as the life force that will manifest the prayers. In order for the dragon to most effectively manifest your prayers chant OM loudly at least three times while visualizing the object of your desire. Then the life force that is created by your OM will be encoded with a thoughtform/program of unfoldment and crystallization. Then the Dragon will manifest your physical desires from the life force constituting its own body.(Pinkham)

Proto-History
Dragon lore is very old, extending back into human prehistory. All cultures across the world speak of a time before the form and order of today’s world was “fixed”, and of powers dwelling in the world that predate humanity in both sentience and insight. Many of these still exist in the human species memory, and have been reflected in our own consciousness even if the original presence seems to be gone.
Specifically, one of the most influential creatures of the terran “dreamtime” were dragons. Originally creator kings/queens of a sort, and would come to be the model of sovereignty for later human rulers. But more specifically, what were dragons? They were known universally for having either powers of concealment or shape changing. As a rule, they generally only become known as dragons when some action on their part reveals their nature, and possibly even their forms.
In many cultures, the highest divinities had “lesser” agents. Not lesser as in not as divine, but more focused or localized. In a sense, “incarnated” even before the act of creation became crystallized. Set in stone, or rather “flesh and blood”, and the dragons had for bodies the primal forces of creation itself. The earth, wind, fire, and waters, but also having an existence preceding even these states of matter. They had habits in the world, and across the world and in all human reckoning these habits weren’t merely quirks.
They shaped the world itself, forming the behaviours of the later “fixed elements”. They also seemed to have a remarkable ability to exist “beyond death”, and were often the keepers of the boundary between the world and death itself. For all the dragon slaying, east or west, dragons never really died, instead reincarnating or transforming in a way that their spirit still lingers in the world itself. The dragons were often the patrons of later mystical traditions. Like the way of the Druids or the Japanese Shinto priests.
Or like the Sumerians and Babylonians? Indeed. In fact, Marduk, a demi-urge like God, was said to have slain a female dragon by the name of Tiamat, and although he slew her she was said to live on in the world. The actions of Gaia herself were the behaviours of Tiamat herself, and humanity were said to have been created from the blood of Tiamat's consort Kingu. So humanity in Sumerian belief are the children of dragons, but not only Sumerian.
Didn’t the rulers of those regions typically have themselves deified into sculpture and myth as dragon-like themselves in looks and behaviour? They did. In Hindu belief, we have two dragon divinities alive in our bodies, and our very physical health and continued life is dependant on their harmony. Ida and Pingala are their names.
Who coincidentally wrap around each other as a helix, like DNA. Yes, and in the same culture there were beings resembling both serpent and man known as the Naga who were believed to be very wise and possessing an advancement in the siddhis or “powers” well beyond the human potential of the time.
The Dragon can be viewed as a winged serpent. From the perspective of the history of religions the serpent is a symbol of the earth and the underworld. The eagle (and birds in general) are symbols of the heavens. The dragon is a unity of these two fundamental principles. The Dragon is a picture of the Hermetic principle "That which is below is like that which is above and that which is above is like that which is below". In China the dragon is a symbol of Tao, that which is beyond all terms and all polarities (Yin and Yang) but also is the force behind all.
Dragon Clarity
The Dragon represents the unknown and the hidden energy in man and in nature. The word dragon comes from the Greek verb derkein which means "to see". The Dragon is the principle of clear seeing: the ability to see things in a new light as they really are, beyond all illusions. For this reason the dragon has great wisdom and power in the myths. The wisdom of the dragon is symbolized by the treasure it guards or the pearl that the dragon carries in his mouth. To find this wisdom and knowledge man must search in his/her inner aspects and in the unknown. In Yoga the dragon is called the Kundalini, the force that is hidden inside.
The etymology of the word 'dragon' comes to us via the Latin but is derived ultimately, it is thought, from the Greek, though the origin of the word and its definition is probably much older. The word in Greek is drakon (drakon); as in edrakon (edrakon), an aorist of derkesthai (derkesthai), which means 'to see clearly'.
A dragon was one who saw clearly, and clarity of vision engendered and was always classically associated with wisdom, which itself produced power. Today we say that knowledge is power, so nothing has changed in that respect, except that it is actually wisdom - the ability to predict or intuit and synthesize knowledge - a prerequisite of druidic or fairy neuro-physiology, that supports the greatest power of all.
In a progression of logic that naturally suggests itself, we are therefore entering the linguistic territory of the seer, the witch and the magus. Such qualities have always been closely identified together by etymologists who study word origins.
From there, in the Gaelic realms, we encounter the 'Merlins', a name which, like 'Dragon', literally means 'seer', and who furthermore, were of a class of druid priests or 'philosophus' or 'magi', as they were also known in classical times. Anciently the foregoing regional epithets were all attributed to one royal, priestly tribe originally known in Indo-European as the Arya: The 'race of the wise ones', a caste who were described in Latin as the 'nobilis', a name which originated from the Greek root gnogno) meaning 'to know'.
Similarly the word 'king' is derived from the related Gothic word kuningzam, meaning both "knowing one" and "scion of the noble, (meaning wise), race". In addition we have the associated word siddhis, meaning 'the powers' and from this word or vice versa, was derived the tribal name 'the Scythians' the 'Arya-Sidhe' or 'Sidheans'. The 'siddhis' were a range of psychic or paranormal phenomena which manifested themselves as the attributes of those Tantric priests in Eurasia who had attained 'samadhi' or 'enlightenment'.
These people, known as both the Aryans or Scythians, are thought to have developed Tantra in Sumeria They were known as the legendary Tuadha d'Anu (tribe of Anu and by a traditional, widely known derivation - "people of the stars") or daouine sidhe (meaning people of the powers) in the Gaelic countries. They were the 'wise ones', the elves or fairies. So we can conclude that by correct definition, a Dragon was originally, (by blood descent from the race of the wise), an overlord, an archdruid or bruidhina, magus and a seer, an elven goddess-queen or god-king.
Such are not to be confused with the warrior kings or tinker dynasties installed by the Roman Church over the last 1500 years, nor with any modern royal family. The druidhe were kings above kings.
The dragon or fairy heritage was very rare and true archdruidic, royal dragon families were rarer still. Persecutions excepted, if this were not the case anyway, then perhaps many fairy stories of the popular genre which originated from outside the dragon culture would never have taken hold, because the reality would have been constantly staring people in the face.
Dragon Wisdom
Traditionally and consistently, the symbol of both wisdom (Sophia) and healing was the serpent or, as it was also known, the dragon. In keeping with this the kings and queens of pre-catholic history were noted for their healing capabilities and as such, in Judaic mythology, were called, perhaps after the archangel Raphael, the Repha'im or Rapha'Elohim; the healing gods of the Anunnaki. Raphael was the Prince who appeared to Adam in Eden according to Milton.
No mention of this is made in Genesis and one suspects that of the two entities that did appear to Adam, Enlil and Enki, or if you like: God and the Catholic Satan. Raphael - the Angel of the Rising Sun - must have been Enki who gave Kingship to man in the form of the Elven Overlords and after whom, by various related epithets; including 'The Repha'im', the Elven Kings are known.
Authorities believe that these people were identical to both the Nephilim band the Anakim of Idumea and Canaan. In early heraldry, derived from ancient sources, the dragon was depicted as a serpent with the wings of a swan. This image was also given the wings of a bat.
The dragon nevertheless was humanoid and so the symbolism in the dragon glyph ought rather be interpreted to substantiate the etymology of the word itself. The serpent stands for the wisdom and healing powers of the sacred king or queen whose regalia often consisted of serpent-like scale armour and whose consciousness soars above that of humanity as if carried on wings, which were symbolized by shamanic swan's feather cloaks.
The nocturnal habits of the dragon people, typically those of the Cimmerian Scythians, were noted by their contemporaries and the swan's wings of the dragon glyph.
One of their earlier names - Anunnaki - means "heaven meets earth". Lots of fanciful notions have been put forward to suggest that the Anunnaki were from outer space, but a far simpler way of understanding the name is to ask a simple question: "when do the heavens - the An or Stars - meet the Earth?". The answer is of course - "at night time".
When considering the nature of the elves or the Anunnaki, rather than believing they came from a different planet, it might be worth considering that they occupied a different dimension. If this sounds equally as fanciful and implausible, consider this. A multitude of different animal species on this planet can be seen and touched.
However, because of their physiology and chemical make-up they were different and these differences in synaptic connections and hormone levels altered their perceptions of their universe. These species actually lived in another dimension and at a higher frequency, where time and the environment for them were totally different to the way humans perceived them. The level to which the fairies experienced life was far deeper than the level to which humans experienced it.
In real terms the fairies inhabited an entirely alien world but occupied the same planet. In this sense they were from a different dimension, characterized and regulated by their body chemistry which enabled them to see more in the environment than humans could. In this they were no more remarkable than any other non-human species we are able to study today.
Flies, Sharks, Dolphins and a host of other lifeforms have attributes and abilities humans do not possess and the way in which they interact with the planet is completely alien to the way in which humans do. For a fly time is completely different and for a Shark, any warm blooded creature glows with a blue, electro-chemical haze or aura.
The Fairies were dragons and this means that they 'saw clearly', they saw subtler emanations than man could. In order to be able to do this the fairy would have to have their senses tuned into a higher frequency than man, meaning that the fairies, perforce, were tuned to a higher frequency of perception and activity generally.
Psychosocial Navigators
In cybernetic terms, any system that is faster and consequently higher than a given base is called a nautonnier or navigator and in cybernetics these systems are set over and in control of the slower functional operations within any given mechanical or organic arrangement.
If we transpose this theory onto human society we get leaders and followers, where the leaders are supposed to be able to function at a faster rate than the followers and thereby anticipate any given direction the system might go in and plan sensible strategies that the system might adopt for its well-being.
Today this is a joke and incompetent, self-seeking, narcissists and power mongers more often find themselves voted into control of vast social systems which, once upon a time, no-one would trust to anyone but the Elves.
In the past therefore, because the Fairies were, for millennia, physiologically bred and exhaustively trained to operate at a higher level than men, humans often invited them to become social navigators or nautonniers. The Sumerian word for a navigator is a GALL, which sounds a bit like a Gael, doesn't it? The language of the western Royal Scythians was Gaelic and the Royal Scythians were the fairies, the Elves: The Dragons.
The dragon's fiery breath symbolized the pneuma, the spirit of the divine, which coalesced into the Torah or cosmic law that the Dragon queens and kings delivered as their pronouncements in the affairs of man. Thus the image of the dragon of myth and legend is complete, as a set of symbolic attributes belonging to an ancient magical race of praeter-natural beings, the vampyr overlords or fairy overkings.
Though humanoid, Dragons were not Homo Sapiens but from the far older elven race sometimes called the Elda or Eldar. This was probably derived from the name of an ancient queen and her ancient, former habitation in Mesopotamia and possibly intended, in its attribution as a simile for Elder perhaps, to imply some form of specific ancestral heritage.
Reflected upon within the context of early Sumerian historical records, such a synonym would indeed seem suitable, as this ancient and mysterious people claimed that the Dragons, with Queen Hawah Elda's assistance, made mankind.

On the so-called Dragon "path", we are permeated hereditarily with Dragon capabilities in varying measures. As one progresses these capabilities wax and wane according to necessity. One of the main capacities is the Derkesthai Process, in which information is "channeled" through the conduit of the Dragon archetype; specifically the racial consciousness of those of the Dragon blood. Through this process we may pick up naturally, all sorts of information relating to varied aspects of the Dragon Tradition in its many branches and manifestations. However, this is of no use intellectually and rationally without informed academic confirmation and corroboration. (NDV)
Interconnectedness
Koinonia is the anglicisation of a Greek word (κοινωνία) that means communion by intimate participation. The essential meaning of the koinonia embraces concepts conveyed in the English terms community, communion, joint participation, sharing and intimacy. Koinonia can therefore refer in some contexts to a jointly contributed gift. Koinonia is viewed as much deeper, however, when associated with a spiritual purpose. Koinonia is a complex, rich, and thoroughly fascinating Greek approach to building community or teamwork.
Koinonia embraced a strong commitment to Kalos k'agathos meaning "good and good", an inner goodness toward virtue, and an outer goodness toward social relationships. In the context of outer goodness, translated into English, the meaning of koinonia holds the idea of joint participation in something with someone, such as in a community, or team or an alliance or joint venture. Those who have studied the word find there is always an implication of action included in its meaning.
Koinonos means 'a sharer' as in to share with one another in a possession held in common. It implies the spirit of generous sharing or the act of giving as contrasted with selfish getting. When koinonia is present, the spirit of sharing and giving becomes tangible. In most contexts, generosity is not an abstract ideal, but a demonstrable action resulting in a tangible and realistic expression of giving.
In classical Greek, koinonein means "to have a share in a thing," as when two or more people hold something, or even all things, in common. It can mean "going shares" with others, thereby having "business dealings,” such as joint ownership of a ship. It can also imply "sharing an opinion" with someone, and therefore agreeing with him, or disagreeing in a congenial way. Only participation as a contributive member allows one to share in what others have. What is shared, received or given becomes the common ground through which Koinonia becomes real.
Koinonos in classical Greek means a companion, a partner or a joint-owner. Therefore, koinonia can imply an association, common effort, or a partnership in common." The common ground by which the two parties are joined together creates an aligned relationship, such as a "fellowship" or "partnership". Two people may enter into marriage in order to have "koinonia of life", that is to say, to live together a life in which everything is shared. Koinonia was used to refer to the marriage bond, and it suggested a powerful common interest that could hold two or more persons together. The term can also relate to a spiritual relationship.
To create a bond between comrades is the meaning of koinonia when people are recognized, share their joy and pains together, and are united because of their common experiences, interests and goals. Fellowship creates a mutual bond which overrides each individual’s pride, vanity, and individualism, fulfilling the human yearning with fraternity, belonging, and companionship. This meaning of koinonia accounts for the ease by which sharing and generosity flow. When combined with the spiritual implications of koinonia, fellowship provides a joint participation in God’s graces and denotes that common possession of spiritual values.
Fellowship is never passive in the meaning of koinonia, it is always linked to action, not just being together, but also doing together. With fellowship comes a close and intimate relationship embracing ideas, communication, and frankness, as in a true, blessed interdependent friendship among multiple group members. The idea of community denotes a “common unity” of purpose and interests. By engaging in this united relationship a new level of consciousness and conscience emerges that spurs the group to higher order thinking and action, thus empowering and encouraging its members to exist in a mutually beneficial relationship. Thus community and family become closely intertwined, aiming at a common unity.
Both fellowship and community imply an inner and outer unity. Nowhere in the framework of community is there implied a hierarchy of command and control. While there is leadership, the leader’s task is to focus energy, and align interests, not impose control. Koinonia creates a brethren bond which builds trust and, especially when combined with the values of Wisdom, Virtue and Honor, overcomes two of humanity’s deepest fears and insecurities: being betrayed and being demeaned.
Whether working collectively or individually, the innovators of ancient Greece worked for the greater good of the whole — to propel their community forward, to share their understanding with others so that all ships would rise on a rising tide. Thus loftier goals and dreams are more easily manifested in the mind and achieved in reality. The team’s sense of Purpose became manifest.

Corpus Hermeticus
We are each a tiny puzzle piece of a greater picture. The greater picture is not whole without each tiny piece. An awesome fact to keep in mind is that the "whole" is infinite whose circumference stretches to never ending
boundaries and states of being. Thus it is "The All".
If a tiny puzzle piece would want to exit itself from this infinite boundless "All", where would he go ? He would go to infinity to realize he can't get out. We are all in " The ALL". We cannot ever not be. This should scare us more than death itself, for we are, .....period ! We better learn to "be", for
we cannot escape it.
If we don't like the look, feel and state of our tiny piece, all we could do is change it, transform it, transmute it. As a tiny piece changes, so does the greater picture. It is in this way that we change the world, by changing ourselves.
Our conception of the world, creates the world we are in. "Change your conception of the world, and you will have changed the world." Such is the power of the tiny puzzle piece. "All that is without thee, also is within".
Where is the center of an infinite circle? If the circumference stretches to infinity, the center could be anywhere and everywhere. Thus it is that each tiny puzzle piece is the center of an infinite circle whose circumference is nowhere
and whose center is everywhere.
"All is in THE ALL, and THE ALL is in all."
This is the awesome potential of the double nature of the tiny piece, man. Within himself he contains the ALL.
"His double functions are possible for him precisely because of his double nature: because he is so constituted that it is possible for him to embrace both the divine and the terrestrial at the same time. So let us not be afraid to tell the truth. The true man is above them ( the celestial gods), or at least equal to them. For no god leaves his sphere to come to earth, whereas man ascends to heaven and measures it. Let us dare to say that a man is a mortal god and a celestial god is an immortal man. " (Corpus Hermeticum)
Egregore

Egregore
Egregore (also egregor) is an occult concept representing a "thoughtform" or "collective group mind", an autonomous psychic entity made up of, and influencing, the thoughts of a group of people. The symbiotic relationship between an egregore and its group has been compared to the more recent, non-occult concepts of the corporation (as a legal entity) and the meme.
The word "egregore" derives from the Greek word, ἐγρήγοροι (egrḗgoroi), meaning "watchers" (also transliterated "grigori"). The word appears in the Septuagint translation of the Book of Lamentations, as well as the Book of Jubilees and the Book of Enoch.
Eliphas Lévi, in Le Grand Arcane ("The Great Mystery", 1868) identifies "egregors" with the tradition concerning the fathers of the Nephilim, describing them as "terrible beings" that "crush us without pity because they are unaware of our existence."
The concept of the egregore as a group thoughtform was developed in works of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and the Rosicrucians and has been referenced by writers such as Valentin Tomberg and Aleister Crowley.
Universal Information Field
The akashic records (akasha is a Sanskrit word meaning "sky", "space" or "aether") is a term used in Theosophy (and Anthroposophy) to describe a compendium of mystical knowledge encoded in a non-physical plane of existence. These records are described as containing all knowledge of human experience and the history of the cosmos. They are metaphorically described as a library; other analogies commonly found in discourse on the subject include a "universal supercomputer" and the "Mind of God".
People who describe the records assert that they are constantly updated automatically, encoding events and experience, and that they can be accessed through astral projection or when someone is placed under deep hypnosis. The concept was popularized in the theosophical movements of the 19th century and is derived from Hindu philosophySamkhya. It is promulgated in the Samkhya philosophy that the Akashic records are automatically recorded in the atoms of akasha ("air" or "aether"), one of the five types of atoms visualized as existing in the atomic theory of Ancient India.
Our access to such a universal information field is faciliated by Deep Memory processes. A fusion of shamanic and spiritual traditions creates a variety of therapeutic techniques including consciousness journey work, meditation, dreamhealing, active imagination, hypnotic regression, psychodrama, role play, bioenergetics and transpersonal psychologies. Process work is always dynamic and arises or emerges from within the person rather than being introjected as in guided imary techniques.

Collective Psyche, by Iona Miller, 2009
COLLECTIVE PSYCHE is a meta-theory of mankind and the primordial field of consciousness/matter, first proposed by Jung. We have no control over the collective psyche, the dynamic totality of all conscious and unconscious psychic processes. It is a self-organizing process with its own structure and flow (archetypes and dynamics).
In fact, collective psyche is another dimension -- the depth dimension that adds meaning to life as it is given. The transpersonal, mythic dimension is autonomous and highly dynamic. You can learn to amplify and resonate with it.
Global sociopolitical life mirrors this condition (including deeply ingrained conflict, the will to live and depression). Systemic global problems are mirrored in each of us. So are collective delusions. But our collective hearts are increasingly crying out for something beyond that myopia.
We must uncover and challenge the disabling myths of the collective psyche, triggering the drive to reach for the inspirational, the extraordinary. Change starts with the questions we ask because they are embedded with the potential to shift our awareness to more expansive and unexpected views. Can we harness what we've learned the hard way?
When we contemplate the same images, seeds are planted that may be unseen but express themselves through metaphor. Poised at the critical edge of creative process, we can reconfigure our strategies and resources into a living system with transcultural dialogue. All we have to do is apply decentralized, wise, creative, compassionate decisions wherever we can.
If consciousness is the root of matter, as some physics models suggest, it includes everything we imagine, experience and know as well as what we cannot know. The dichotomy of psyche and matter has collapsed in the transpersonal perspective. Realizing we share the same field, the new paradigm encompasses psyche and Cosmos.
Fuller Awareness
Real awareness is being present in the moment -- the now. The confluence of future and past is eternally present now, pregnant with potential. Collective psyche "remembers" the future before it arrives, runs all superimposed scenarios in the multiverse before collapsing into ordinary reality. Collective psyche can provide prescient glimpses into possible futures. Can we, therefore, change undesireable timelines and outcomes using collective psyche as applied human survival technology?
Both individual and collective psyche possess layers that lie below consciousness. We can examine the beliefs and behavior of our global society, in general, just as we can analyze and foster emergent creativity in individuals with therapeutic effect. Is collective perversion inherent in the very processes that make us human? Collective behavior often defies apparent rationality by being toxic, pathological and malignant.
None of us is uncontaminated by what goes on outside of ourselves in the world. We all feel "violated" by some form of psychosocial trauma. This is the root of alienation. Have we become strangers to ourselves by projecting collective blame and suppressing collective wisdom?
How can we kindle a cultural placebo effect for spontaneous healing? What initiations do we need to find new meaning and make a collective transition away from "collective neurosis" toward the newly emerging concept of spiritual wellness and compassionate maturity?
Will we assume a higher level of personal and social responsibility or remain numb to our collective dysfunctional behavior? What forces are undermining our collective psyche and why do we permit them to remain in play? How can we process and transmute our collective guilt into effective transformation? Can we stop transmitting our collective dysfunctionalities to future generations?
Can we heal the traumas imprinted on our collective psyche, recognizing there will always be conflicts from organizing principles in the psyche? Archetypes are composed of autonomous dynamic tensions arising spontaneously in individuals and the collective psyche.
The Transcendent function, according to Jung, resolves the split between opposing dynamics and recognizes the spiritual dimension of the psyche. Flow describes the state of harmonious order.
Can we take a collective spiritual journey beyond competing religions and -isms toward collective vision? "Recovery" has taken on new meaning in the collective psyche since the global economic crash. We have to "take stock" of the new situation. As economic foundations crumble, we can't afford to be irrationally complacent.
Psyche, Science & Society
How can we modify the processes arising in the political context without changing the social context? The collective shadow of the old paradigm still plagues us with collective memory of political events, state terrorism, covert action, control mechanisms, public visibility (transparency), collective violence, class conflict, collective security, provincial national and cultural interests.
Psychosocial trauma is repeated as violations of person and property, competition for scarce resources, discrimination, our collective involvement in torture and such Frankensteinian science as biowarfare. In the asymmetric war of repressor and repressed, these are only a few of the manifestions of such tensions and our reactions (collective action) to them.
The insult is to our entire biopsychosocial being. Our institutional approach to trauma breaks down somewhere in the process. Global trauma occurs in the context of global drama. Traditional therapeutic paradigms don't work for this kind of trauma inflicted in the macro-social context of savage plutocracy, hegemonic capitalism and brutal totalitarianism. But there are pre-existing conditions in the structure of society and we have to deal with them as best we can.
The ghosts of such large-scale structures can only be exorcised for collective welfare by the introduction of new information, new contexts, new meaning, new structures and new paradigms. Models of collective history and psychological perspectives on society effect our worldview. The collective psyche of many groups has been brutalized. We need new models of collaboration and conflict resolution at the individual and collective level.
The collective psyche itself demands resolution or at least makes us obsess on its elusive nature. To find peace in the world, we must find it within. Images arising in the collective psyche are internalized as dreams and visions. We sense autonomous forces beyond us at work. Deity resides in the collective psyche. Even in physics and life sciences, psyche and matter are no longer split.
Collective intelligence and identity are externalized online in social networking and digital alchemy. The web is a window on collective psyche that invites eruptions from its depths. This superset is a new human identity, embodying that tangibly greater than self. We are practicing higher order collective cooperation, collectively reinventing ourselves as a species. Collective conversation moves at the speed of light. Openness, inclusivity, decentralization, nonlocality and virtuality are keywords. We are not only merging with one another, we are e-merging our nervous systems with our technology. We are letting go of personal identity to collective intelligence in a new way, teaching one another as we explore that frontier beyond the doors of perception. We are each a unique center.
EDGEucation
Our collective aspirations are guided by archetypal fantasies. Our disenchantment and collective grief is arguably over loss of the world soul. The collective psyche points toward and guides us through the transition period we now face. New images are arising, reframing the future. Images have healing properties. They speak to us in our sleeping and waking dreams, forging shared stories relevant to everyone in the process as well as the Cosmos itself.
We cannot separate our psychophysical symptoms from the collective environment. There is a missing dimension in our worldview and mindscapes. We sense it, even though the market and media have attempted to drain all depth from our experience. Emergent events are not merely responses to economic and climatic conditions or social engineering, but eruptions of the collective unconscious.
Mobilized, the archetypal dynamics and creative forces of the collective psyche perturb psychosocial trends, creating new possibilities. Archetypes are the psychic skeleton fleshed out by events that matter. We can't keep our collective skeletons in the closet anymore. We can no longer charge the future to pay for our past. The "marks" have wised up and no longer trust the control systems.
What doesn't effect the Collective Psyche? Perhaps humanity has never faced more multi-dimensional challenges. We need to retrieve and upgrade our human survival technologies for our metamorphosis. Healing emerges from pathology. Edge artists are the shamans of the new millennium.
Maybe we are still addicted to the Hermetic myth of futurism when we need to live in the here and now. Like Hermes, the future is a perennial Trickster: this is what you want, this is what you get -- lowered expectations. Why do we hurry to live in the future? Futurism speculates about the unknown, robbing us of the present and its opportunities.
There is no quick cure for collective ills but we can find new metaphors, deeper meaning and bigger, more relevant stories. There is no therapy but moving forward creatively into the future, experimenting with solutions. Inspiration can emerge from infinite potential in any instant.
Participatory Wisdom
The only certain way to heal the personality or the world is getting to the source of wisdom. Collective consciousness is tied to the health of each individual. Healing power emerges from integration. Looking within, we arouse our tacit knowledge for participatory wisdom -- the active wisdom of the collective psyche.
The same patterns are at work in the individual and collective psyche, something ungraspable in the depths. Larger patterns are at work in the collective. Global awareness, multiculturalism and multinationalism are basic to the collective psyche. But we fear the loss of old boundaries. Is this our collective Borderline disorder, emphasizing relationship disturbances that challenge our beliefs about ourselves? Is it the source of our unremitting crisis and vulnerability?
Joy is the only antidote to anxiety. We need to create better environments, newer myths, and more compassionate beliefs so we can thrive, not just survive. Rather than conspicuous consumption, new buzzwords include ZPG, "downsizing," "aging lean," "design intelligence."
We need new models for creative art and science that move us beyond the nihilism of postmodernism into the transmodern era. The exhausted culture must die for the new to emerge from its ashes. The collective death-wish plays out in a myriad of ways. The psyche is not amenable to reduction. It cannot be contained or restricted.
Politics, Economics, War, Disease, Natural Calamities, Science and Technology, Natural Resource shortages, the Population Bomb, Pandemic, Forced Migration, Climate Shift, Energy Crisis and more have the capacity to instantly morph our worldview and lifestyles.
Destructive states need to give way to an opening of imagination as we continue to free our collective selves from oppressive mythologies. Hopefully, we can find a more sustainable means of existence. Therapeutic interventions can be performed by anyone at any level.
For example, consumers are radically revisioning their spending, saving and investment patterns. Artists are learning what it means to design new bodies and virtual environments. Art can be read as the archives of collective vision. Our collective intelligence is transforming through social networking. We can retrieve our geneologies and test our DNA to find out exactly who we are and where we come from. What we find is we are all more closely related than we formerly thought.
We can benefit by a wide-ranging holistic examination of nature and our own nature as a species. Humans, science tells us, are 99% genetically identical to primates and even closer to one another -- we are one family of man. Battles are symptoms. In psychology, symptoms are where boundaries are shifting.
Collective psyche is as multi-faceted as mankind. The meme biological "race" -- a social construction -- is an irrelevant folk belief that is culturally ingrained divisive view that facilitates social control. The global human population is genetically homogeneous compared to other mammals. There are no subspecies in our global family, even if gifts and talents are unevenly distributed.
Dysfunctional Family of Man
We are dysfunctional, detached, alienated. The collective demands of our culture have drained us. We have endured unbearable collective "cognitive dissonance" between the traditional and transitional paradigms. Such mental epidemics arise in the collective soul. One treatment is to reinvest in perennial collective values, such as democracy. If you hold a value, you must speak for it. Lack of passion indicates numbing.
We yearn for something deeper than consumerism in terms of mass mind. Fragmentation is the metaphysical and existential condition that leads to compulsive creation of the false self as compensation for lack of authentic identity. Omega points embody our existential despair, our apocalyptic yearning, our narcissistic desire to have everything reflect our own emptiness.
Despair can lead to suicidal thoughts. In Suicide and the Soul, James Hillman suggests the impulse to suicide is psyche's intense desire to change, and die symbolically to be reborn or renewed. We also long for renewal in our global culture and for the sake of our offspring. But do we have to be collectively self-destructive in the process?
Collectively, we are experiencing a disorder of adaptation that manifests in dissociation. Distrust, greed, apathy and burn-out are symptomatic. We have only recently crashed from a series of socially manufactured hyper-manic investment "bubbles," awakening us from a delusion of limitless growth.
We've become numb and overwhelmed. Numbness masks our collective spiritual hunger, which is the root of all addiction. Our paranoid culture is hyper-vigilant with Post-Traumatic Stress.
Holding all this tension is "weathering" or wearing us out. Economic collapse has sent many back to square one, desperately trying to reinvent themselves for survival. Old personas grow constrictive when we are role-bound into conventionality or the equally cliche eccentricities. Even your rebellions are socially engineered. Identified with the social mask, when we lose our job or 'mission' we lose our identity.
In the same way, we have to reinvent our culture, fractally, from the bottom-up and top-down. Some areas of cultural activity are more pathological and malignant. We literally and metaphorically need to 'cut it out.'
Ancient cultures have much to teach us in this regard; we need to listen deeply to one another. Psycho-spiritual forces of transformation are also in play, such as conceptual reorientation and memes that remain to play out, such as 2012 and technological singularity.
The Collective Psyche is also vulnerable to manipulation through a variety of means that modulate the order/disorder scale. Propaganda is used for organizing chaos in accord with specific agendas through memes, media, education, social values, military, medicine, politics, intelligence and business. Ideas are replicators, much like genes, and can be "cancerous" and require radical treatment.
Zeitgeist
The very Fabric of Reality is woven in our collective thoughts and embodiment. Consensus reality is formulated and ratified at the level of the human unconscious where all minds are entangled. This matrix determines the context and meaning of individual and collective being.
Currently, we are in the midst of a profound paradigm shift. For the first time in history we have sweeping knowledge of the historic panoply of our planet and humanity's place in it. We know who we are but we don't know where we are going, except into the Great Unknown, the abyss that represents the universal Mystery. Indications are that we are becoming "transhuman." The sadpart is most of have failed to becoming "fully human," living up to our human potential, before the transition.
Shared beliefs and attitudes operating as a unifying social force create Collective Consciousness which embodies the Social Cradle. This fractal and systems awareness can be raised to new heights through transformations in tacit and articulated knowledge with behavior rooted in new understanding. This is how new self-organizing order emerges from the death of outworn toxic systems.
In therapy, we have to get to the root of the problem for more than a "bandaid" cure. Negative instinctual forces tend to keep this positive potential in check, but we are also capable of making quantum leaps in consciousness, particularly since our survival depends on it. We need to develop a system we can trust in once again.
The social drive behind transformation is the over-arching awareness that we are all in it together. New physics has revealed a deeper level of reality where we are at one with each other, the world and Cosmos. We need to begin operating from realization of that interconnected awareness.
Culture's Strange Attractors
Both individuals and cultures have internal maps of reality that condition their beliefs, thoughts, feelings and behaviors. C.G. Jung introduced the model of a Collective Unconscious and also a Collective Consciousness. Its primary structures are archetypes or patterns behind our religious, mythical, thought and social lives. Alan Watts called myth an image in terms of which we try to make sense of the world. A myth in a way is a metaphor.
All the most powerful ideas in history arise from archetypes: religious ideas; the central concepts of science and philosophy. In their present form they are variants of archetypal ideas created by consciously applying and adapting these ideas to reality. Inadequate scientific knowledge is our primary worldview yet we struggle for a more satisfying image of the world. The world is also not an artifact or evolutionary technology made by some remote divinity.
The so-called wave particle duality is illusory. The actual explanation is that at the elemental level of reality things happen in an entirely logical PREdimensional space. Only when quantum decoherence occurs is space actually
dimensionalized. All the so called quantum paradoxes are actually describing the way space gets dimensionalized instead of the standard view that quantum events occur within a framework of classically dimensionalized space. The 'fuzzy' stuff is actually space itself rather than quantum particles in space.
The Collective Psyche is complexed, subject to distortions in healthy dynamics. They revolve around the perennial problems of mankind -- the Strange Attractors of collective life. Projections territorialize the aspects of the collective psyche, but we are all part of that collective body.
Collective behavior also has a Shadow-side as we find in individuals. It causes us to project evil onto other individuals, groups and nations, disowning our complicity. Often there is an abyss between our overt and covert intentions and their real-world effects due to a myopia that prevents us seeing into our collective blind spots.
What is going on in the collective psyche? Oppositional thinking and projection mean we live in a time of accelerating polarization: us versus them, good versus evildoers, and splitting and projection based in creeds, isms, and other congealed dogmas. What we need to examine are the effects, not intentions, of those beliefs.
Cultural narcissism and oppositional thinking are deterants to peace in the world. We need to begin taking collective responsibility for our pathology to overcome our collective denial that has fouled our environment and interpersonal relations at the individual, national and global level.
Frontiers of Consciousness
We gain in meaning and value by fearlessly examining our collective psyche to find hidden dynamics at work below the surface of events that could make or break our intergenerational futures. These dynamics are conditioned by archetypes just like individuals share these common drives for good and evil.
Global Architectronics is the evolving architecture of our common culture, shaped by a variety of internal and external forces. Some of them plague mankind and some have the potential to raise us to a higher level of being in the world and with one another.
The dynamics of Chaos Theory illuminates the process of radical culture change and the challenges of our currently shifting society. We are in unprecedented flux and recognizing that changes in one area of the globe potentially effect the whole system. There are no "closed societies" in the Information Age. This is the era of Glocalization. Order emerges from chaos, but chaos also overwhelms us when order breaks down in our bodies, minds or societies. Then we need emergent healing that comes from deep within, not introjected from outside of ourselves but welling up from our core. In this new Depression, we need deep healing, individually and collectively.
Our sick system needs to heal from corruption and mismanagement. The planet needs to heal from human impact and overpopulation. It is a complex problem which can only be addressed by a radical shift in healing paradigms and means. The transformative process takes many forms in working with chaos through nature's way.
Have Scientists Proved DNA's Relationship to Language?
Only 10% of our DNA is being used for building proteins. It is this subset of DNA that is of interest to western researchers and is being examined and categorized. The other 90% are considered "junk DNA."
The Russian researchers, however, convinced that nature was not dumb, joined linguists and geneticists in a venture to explore that 90% of "junk DNA." Their results, findings and conclusions are simply revolutionary!
According to there findings, our DNA is not only responsible for the
construction of our body but also serves as data storage and communication. The Russian linguists found that the genetic code - especially in the apparent "useless" 90% - follows the same rules as all our human languages.
To this end they compared the rules of syntax (the way in which words are put together to form phrases and sentences), semantics (the study of meaning in language forms) and the basic rules of grammar. They found that the alkalines of our DNA follow a regular grammar and do have set rules just like our languages. Therefore, human languages did not appear coincidentally but are a reflection of our inherent DNA.
By Grazyna Fosar and Franz Bludorf
THE HUMAN DNA IS A BIOLOGICAL INTERNET and superior in many aspects to the artificial one. Russian scientific research directly or indirectly explains phenomena such as clairvoyance, intuition, spontaneous and remote acts of healing, self healing, affirmation techniques, unusual light/auras around people (namely spiritual masters), mind’s influence on weather patterns and much more. In addition, there is evidence for a whole new type of medicine in which DNA can be influenced and reprogrammed by words and frequencies WITHOUT cutting out and replacing single genes.
Only 10% of our DNA is being used for building proteins. It is this subset of DNA that is of interest to western researchers and is being examined and categorized. The other 90% are considered “junk DNA.” The Russian researchers, however, convinced that nature was not dumb, joined linguists and geneticists in a venture to explore those 90% of “junk DNA.” Their results, findings and conclusions are simply revolutionary! According to them, our DNA is not only responsible for the construction of our body but also serves as data storage and in communication. The Russian linguists found that the genetic code, especially in the apparently useless 90%, follows the same rules as all our human languages. To this end they compared the rules of syntax (the way in which words are put together to form phrases and sentences), semantics (the study of meaning in language forms) and the basic rules of grammar. They found that the alkalines of our DNA follow a regular grammar and do have set rules just like our languages. So human languages did not appear coincidentally but are a reflection of our inherent DNA.
The Russian biophysicist and molecular biologist Pjotr Garjajev and his colleagues also explored the vibrational behavior of the DNA. [For the sake of brevity I will give only a summary here. For further exploration please refer to the appendix at the end of this article.] The bottom line was: “Living chromosomes function just like solitonic/holographic computers using the endogenous DNA laser radiation.” This means that they managed for example to modulate certain frequency patterns onto a laser ray and with it influenced the DNA frequency and thus the genetic information itself. Since the basic structure of DNA-alkaline pairs and of language (as explained earlier) are of the same structure, no DNA decoding is necessary.
One can simply use words and sentences of the human language! This, too, was experimentally proven! Living DNA substance (in living tissue, not in vitro) will always react to language-modulated laser rays and even to radio waves, if the proper frequencies are being used.
This finally and scientifically explains why affirmations, autogenous training, hypnosis and the like can have such strong effects on humans and their bodies. It is entirely normal and natural for our DNA to react to language. While western researchers cut single genes from the DNA strands and insert them elsewhere, the Russians enthusiastically worked on devices that can influence the cellular metabolism through suitable modulated radio and light frequencies and thus repair genetic defects.
Garjajev’s research group succeeded in proving that with this method chromosomes damaged by x-rays for example can be repaired. They even captured information patterns of a particular DNA and transmitted it onto another, thus reprogramming cells to another genome. So they successfully transformed, for example, frog embryos to salamander embryos simply by transmitting the DNA information patterns! This way the entire information was transmitted without any of the side effects or disharmonies encountered when cutting out and re-introducing single genes from the DNA. This represents an unbelievable, world-transforming revolution and sensation! All this by simply applying vibration and language instead of the archaic cutting-out procedure! This experiment points to the immense power of wave genetics, which obviously has a greater influence on the formation of organisms than the biochemical processes of alkaline sequences.
Esoteric and spiritual teachers have known for ages that our body is programmable by language, words and thought. This has now been scientifically proven and explained. Of course the frequency has to be correct. And this is why not everybody is equally successful or can do it with always the same strength. The individual person must work on the inner processes and maturity in order to establish a conscious communication with the DNA. The Russian researchers work on a method that is not dependent on these factors but will ALWAYS work, provided one uses the correct frequency.
But the higher developed an individual’s consciousness is, the less need is there for any type of device! One can achieve these results by oneself, and science will finally stop to laugh at such ideas and will confirm and explain the results. And it doesn’t end there.?The Russian scientists also found out that our DNA can cause disturbing patterns in the vacuum, thus producing magnetized wormholes! Wormholes are the microscopic equivalents of the so-called Einstein-Rosen bridges in the vicinity of black holes (left by burned-out stars).? These are tunnel connections between entirely different areas in the universe through which information can be transmitted outside of space and time. The DNA attracts these bits of information and passes them on to our consciousness. This process of hyper communication is most effective in a state of relaxation. Stress, worries or a hyperactive intellect prevent successful hyper communication or the information will be totally distorted and useless.
In nature, hyper communication has been successfully applied for millions of years. The organized flow of life in insect states proves this dramatically. Modern man knows it only on a much more subtle level as “intuition.” But we, too, can regain full use of it. An example from Nature: When a queen ant is spatially separated from her colony, building still continues fervently and according to plan. If the queen is killed, however, all work in the colony stops. No ant knows what to do. Apparently the queen sends the “building plans” also from far away via the group consciousness of her subjects. She can be as far away as she wants, as long as she is alive. In man hyper communication is most often encountered when one suddenly gains access to information that is outside one’s knowledge base. Such hyper communication is then experienced as inspiration or intuition. The Italian composer Giuseppe Tartini for instance dreamt one night that a devil sat at his bedside playing the violin. The next morning Tartini was able to note down the piece exactly from memory, he called it the Devil’s Trill Sonata.
For years, a 42-year old male nurse dreamt of a situation in which he was hooked up to a kind of knowledge CD-ROM. Verifiable knowledge from all imaginable fields was then transmitted to him that he was able to recall in the morning. There was such a flood of information that it seemed a whole encyclopedia was transmitted at night. The majority of facts were outside his personal knowledge base and reached technical details about which he knew absolutely nothing.
When hyper communication occurs, one can observe in the DNA as well as in the human being special phenomena. The Russian scientists irradiated DNA samples with laser light. On screen a typical wave pattern was formed. When they removed the DNA sample, the wave pattern did not disappear, it remained. Many control experiments showed that the pattern still came from the removed sample, whose energy field apparently remained by itself. This effect is now called phantom DNA effect. It is surmised that energy from outside of space and time still flows through the activated wormholes after the DNA was removed. The side effect encountered most often in hyper communication also in human beings are inexplicable electromagnetic fields in the vicinity of the persons concerned. Electronic devices like CD players and the like can be irritated and cease to function for hours. When the electromagnetic field slowly dissipates, the devices function normally again. Many healers and psychics know this effect from their work. The better the atmosphere and the energy, the more frustrating it is that the recording device stops functioning and recording exactly at that moment. And repeated switching on and off after the session does not restore function yet, but next morning all is back to normal. Perhaps this is reassuring to read for many, as it has nothing to do with them being technically inept, it means they are good at hyper communication.
In their book “Vernetzte Intelligenz” (Networked Intelligence), Grazyna Gosar and Franz Bludorf explain these connections precisely and clearly. The authors also quote sources presuming that in earlier times humanity had been, just like the animals, very strongly connected to the group consciousness and acted as a group. To develop and experience individuality we humans however had to forget hyper communication almost completely. Now that we are fairly stable in our individual consciousness, we can create a new form of group consciousness, namely one, in which we attain access to all information via our DNA without being forced or remotely controlled about what to do with that information. We now know that just as on the internet our DNA can feed its proper data into the network, can call up data from the network and can establish contact with other participants in the network. Remote healing, telepathy or “remote sensing” about the state of relatives etc.. can thus be explained. Some animals know also from afar when their owners plan to return home. That can be freshly interpreted and explained via the concepts of group consciousness and hyper communication. Any collective consciousness cannot be sensibly used over any period of time without a distinctive individuality. Otherwise we would revert to a primitive herd instinct that is easily manipulated.
Hyper communication in the new millennium means something quite different: Researchers think that if humans with full individuality would regain group consciousness, they would have a god-like power to create, alter and shape things on Earth! AND humanity is collectively moving toward such a group consciousness of the new kind. Fifty percent of today’s children will be problem children as soon as the go to school. The system lumps everyone together and demands adjustment. But the individuality of today’s children is so strong that that they refuse this adjustment and giving up their idiosyncrasies in the most diverse ways.
At the same time more and more clairvoyant children are born [see the book “China’s Indigo Children” by Paul Dong or the chapter about Indigos in my book “Nutze die taeglichen Wunder”(Make Use of the Daily Wonders)]. Something in those children is striving more and more towards the group consciousness of the new kind, and it will no longer be suppressed. As a rule, weather for example is rather difficult to influence by a single individual. But it may be influenced by a group consciousness (nothing new to some tribes doing it in their rain dances). Weather is strongly influenced by Earth resonance frequencies, the so-called Schumann frequencies. But those same frequencies are also produced in our brains, and when many people synchronize their thinking or individuals (spiritual masters, for instance) focus their thoughts in a laser-like fashion, then it is scientifically speaking not at all surprising if they can thus influence weather.
Researchers in group consciousness have formulated the theory of Type I civilizations. A humanity that developed a group consciousness of the new kind would have neither environmental problems nor scarcity of energy. For if it were to use its mental power as a unified civilization, it would have control of the energies of its home planet as a natural consequence. And that includes all natural catastrophes!!! A theoretical Type II civilization would even be able to control all energies of their home galaxy. In my book “Nutze die taeglichen Wunder,” I have described an example of this: Whenever a great many people focus their attention or consciousness on something similar like Christmas time, football world championship or the funeral of Lady Diana in England then certain random number generators in computers start to deliver ordered numbers instead of the random ones. An ordered group consciousness creates order in its whole surroundings!
When a great number of people get together very closely, potentials of violence also dissolve. It looks as if here, too, a kind of humanitarian consciousness of all humanity is created. (The Global Consciousness Project)
To come back to the DNA: It apparently is also an organic superconductor that can work at normal body temperature. Artificial superconductors require extremely low temperatures of between 200 and 140°C to function. As one recently learned, all superconductors are able to store light and thus information. This is a further explanation of how the DNA can store information. There is another phenomenon linked to DNA and wormholes. Normally, these supersmall wormholes are highly unstable and are maintained only for the tiniest fractions of a second. Under certain conditions stable wormholes can organize themselves which then form distinctive vacuum domains in which for example gravity can transform into electricity.
Vacuum domains are self-radiant balls of ionized gas that contain considerable amounts of energy. There are regions in Russia where such radiant balls appear very often. Following the ensuing confusion the Russians started massive research programs leading finally to some of the discoveries mentions above. Many people know vacuum domains as shiny balls in the sky. The attentive look at them in wonder and ask themselves, what they could be. I thought once: “Hello up there. If you happen to be a UFO, fly in a triangle.” And suddenly, the light balls moved in a triangle. Or they shot across the sky like ice hockey pucks. They accelerated from zero to crazy speeds while sliding gently across the sky. One is left gawking and I have, as many others, too, thought them to be UFOs. Friendly ones, apparently, as they flew in triangles just to please me. Now the Russians found in the regions, where vacuum domains appear often that sometimes fly as balls of light from the ground upwards into the sky, that these balls can be guided by thought. One has found out since that vacuum domains emit waves of low frequency as they are also produced in our brains.
And because of this similarity of waves they are able to react to our thoughts. To run excitedly into one that is on ground level might not be such a great idea, because those balls of light can contain immense energies and are able to mutate our genes. They can, they don’t necessarily have to, one has to say. For many spiritual teachers also produce such visible balls or columns of light in deep meditation or during energy work which trigger decidedly pleasant feelings and do not cause any harm. Apparently this is also dependent on some inner order and on the quality and provenance of the vacuum domain. There are some spiritual teachers (the young Englishman Ananda, for example) with whom nothing is seen at first, but when one tries to take a photograph while they sit and speak or meditate in hyper communication, one gets only a picture of a white cloud on a chair. In some Earth healing projects such light effects also appear on photographs. Simply put, these phenomena have to do with gravity and anti-gravity forces that are also exactly described in the book and with ever more stable wormholes and hyper communication and thus with energies from outside our time and space structure.
Earlier generations that got in contact with such hyper communication experiences and visible vacuum domains were convinced that an angel had appeared before them. And we cannot be too sure to what forms of consciousness we can get access when using hyper communication. Not having scientific proof for their actual existence (people having had such experiences do NOT all suffer from hallucinations) does not mean that there is no metaphysical background to it. We have simply made another giant step towards understanding our reality.
Official science also knows of gravity anomalies on Earth (that contribute to the formation of vacuum domains), but only of ones of below one percent. But recently gravity anomalies have been found of between three and four percent. One of these places is Rocca di Papa, south of Rome (exact location in the book “Vernetzte Intelligenz” plus several others). Round objects of all kinds, from balls to full buses, roll uphill. But the stretch in Rocca di Papa is rather short, and defying logic sceptics still flee to the theory of optical illusion (which it cannot be due to several features of the location).

The KINdling Effect & Kundalini
G.V. Goddard and his associates in 1969 reported a peculiar kindling effect generated by repeated, periodic, low-intensity stimulation of the limbic region of mammalian brains. A sustained periodic signal input to the brain and central nerv ous system eventually sets up a cumulative resonance which increases in magnitude until the entire organism is in sympathetic resonance.
A laboratory rat at first continues to explore its environment in a normal manner when it is subjected to kindling. But after repeated stimulation at the same intensity, the rat will begin to rear up and its forelimbs will convulse. Eventually these bursts of electrical activity induce similar patterns in nearby brain regions, and the threshold becomes progressively lowered. Stimulation progresses to the amygdala, to the amygdala on the other side of the brain, to the hippocampus, to the occipital cortex, and finally to the frontal cortex. Kindling can start only in the limbic structures.
While KINdling was originally thought to be a model of epilepsy, John Gaito of York University has reported that a different mechanism is apparently involved since the amino acid, taurine, which suppresses epileptic seizures in laboratory animals, does not prevent phenomena caused by kindling. Also, kindling apparently causes permanent changes in the neural circuitry. Pulsed repetitions of telepathic senders have also been shown to increase the reception of telepathic messages. Thus, the kindling effect apparently applies to the paranormal channel as well as to more orthodox transmission channels. (For further details, see "Kindling, once an epilepsy model, may relate to kundalini," Brain/ Mind Bulletin, Vol. 2, No.7, February 21, 1977; pp. 1-2.)
The KINdling mechanism is a far more general mechanism than epilepsy researchers have realized. Coherent time collection of bioenergy in one bioframe "kindles" toward the threshold of the next bioframe, which has a fixed threshold. When sufficient kindling occurs to reach the threshold, automatic orthogonal rotation of the kindled bioenergy occurs into the next frame. There it simply constitutes the kindling or superposition of the imperceivable subquantum state into the perceivable quantum state. This is the mechanism whereby one kind of field can be turned into another. E.g., thought energy (third biofield) can be kindled into second biofield (flux), which can be kindled into first biofield (electromagnetic energy), which can be kindled into zeroth biofield (matter). (Tom Bearden, Excalibur Briefing)
Bioenegetic KINdling
Bioenergy propagates along deBroglie waves. And so all possibilities are modulated by bioenergetic 'kindling' and collection.
Viewed in this light, Puthoff and Targ's remote-viewing experiments actually provided a multitude of probability paths to the viewer. And these probability paths were indeed 'kindling' bioenergy of the distant-as-yet unhappened event. The actual event in the Future contains a great many additional collection 'kindling's due to the additional factors involved in determination (such as collapse of the wave function). A peaking of signal exists on the more probable happenings, and this extra signal along certain paths constitutes an increased signal-to-noise ratio in that particular channel. Thus an actual mechanism exists for seeing at a distance and for seeing ahead in time.
Particular note should be made of the pi meson collection mechanism in the nucleus of an atom. Each neutron and each proton in the nucleus of an atom is continually emitting-and-absorbing pi mesons. And thereby the protons and neutrons are continually interchanging from one to the other by passing along the positive charge. This activity produces the strong nuclear force which binds the nucleus together against the electrical repulsion of the electric forces due to the positive charges of the protons. The fantastic structurings and currents that result provide an electrical current which can and does collect bioenergy.
A skilled psychic with good psychokinetic ability can thus focus on the 'kindling' mechanism inside the nucleus and get a signal-to-noise increase of the 'kindling' of his bioenergy in nuclei as opposed to elsewhere in the material in other collection mechanisms. Several types of reactions can then occur. The protons may have their electric charges extinguished due to the extinguishing of the virtual photons producing the electric field on their pions. In such case, the atom simply loses its integrity and some neutrons and photons are emitted from the atomic site into the surrounding material. This type of interaction thus locally softens a metal and produces severe heating in localized areas, changes in fundamental grain structure, and changes in fundamental characteristics of the metal.
The effect of coherent time collection is 'kindling', and orthorotation of one type of field into another. The collection of de Broglie waves is moving much faster than light. And for very slow-moving objects, the collected and projected bioenergy on their deBroglie waves is moving at essentially infinite velocity.
http://biologyofkundalini.com/article.php?story=KindlingEffect
Some of the conditions for the initiation of kundalini appear to be:
Hyperactivation of the thyroid and parathyroids.
Hyperactivation of estrogen and testosterone (plus metabolities of T. eg: Estradiol).
Hyperactivation of the sympathetic nervous system (adrenaline, norepinephrine).
Hyperactivation of the stress hormones (corticosteroids eg: cortisol, DHEA) Hyperactivation of opiate systems (endorphins, enkephalins, anandamide, phenylethylamine).
Repetitive or overwhelming circumstances and conditions create cumulative resonance that increases in magnitude until the entire organism is in sympathetic resonance. The barriers to unity are penetrated so to speak. The increased charge and particular frequency of neural firing opens up unique neural thresholds in crucial parts of the brain. As the contagion of kundalini builds it pulls all bodymind systems into its service.
Kundalini awakenings are likely if hyper-arousal of the nervous system is kept going for several years and conditions of perpetual irritation to the brain neurons occurs. The particular blend of hormones and neurotransmitters reduces the threshold by which kundalini passes through the body. Like a river of fire, kundalini forges its own effluent cascade through the nerve tributaries and sustains itself through the changes it induces. In recent years there has been some attempt to correlate the phenomena of kindling with kundalini.
Kindling in epilepsy was first discovered accidentally by researcher Graham Goddard in 1967, while he was studying learning in rats. He found that a sustained, periodic, low-intensity stimulation of the limbic region of mammalian brains eventually sets up a cumulative resonance which increases in magnitude until the entire organism is in sympathetic resonance. Eventually these bursts of electrical activity induce similar patterns in nearby brain regions, and the seizure threshold progressively lowered. While normally the electrical stimulation he used was too low to cause any type of convulsing, he discovered that repeated exposure of brain areas to small electric shocks seem to make subsequent episodes of spontaneous seizure-like electrical events more likely to occur. After repeated stimulation at the same intensity, their brains had become sensitized to electricity, and even months later the rat would convulse when stimulated.
The name kindling was chosen because the process was likened to a log fire. While the log itself is very hard to set afire in the first place, when surrounded by smaller, pieces of wood, kindling, soon the log itself will catch fire. There is evidence that the more mood episodes a person has, the harder it is to treat each subsequent episode..." thus taking the kindling analogy one step further: that a fire which has spread is harder to put out.
The kindling sensitization hypothesis suggests that initial seizure episodes make it more likely that future seizure and depressive episodes will occur. Spontaneous kindling is more likely if there has been early damage to the brain through chemical exposure, childhood sexual or emotional abuse, or if one has inherited a sensitive nervous system. If reared in an abnormal, deprived, stressful and socially isolated environment, the limbic system neurons will atrophy and the septal nuclei, amygdala and hippocampus may develop seizure-like activity, referred to as kindling. Trauma affects our capacity for cortical control over the limbic system to regulate bodily homeostatsis. This includes unusual patterns of cortisol, norepinepherine, and dopamine metabolite excretion; the role of serotonergic and opioid systems (arousal and numbing); receptor modification by processes such as kindling; and involvement of central pathways involved in the integration of perception, memory and arousal.
Kindling can start only in the limbic brain where it progresses from the amygdala, then to the amygdala on the other side of the brain, to the hippocampus, to the occipital cortex, and finally to the frontal cortex. In fetal brain development the limbic or emotional brain predates the development of the cortex or "seat of intelligence". The brain's limbic system modulates emotions and memory organization systems, balance, gastrointestinal motility, the autonomic nervous system, and the auditory and visual integration of stimuli.
Kundalini has elements similar to the kindling phenomena, and yet runs through a very complicated sequence of "events." The article: "Kindling, once epilepsy model, may relate to kundalini," Brain/ Mind Bulletin, Vol. 2, No.7, February 21, 1977; pp. 1-2.) reports on the convulsion-like phenomenon called kundalini. At the Max Planck Institute in Germany, subjects reported "electrical sensations, tingling, inner lights, even convulsions usually followed over a period of time by a moderation of 'symptoms' and apparent alterations in the central nervous system."
This article says that the kundalini phenomena typically occurs after a period of meditation in a setting that is non-threatening. This report suggests that while meditating, the individual tries to arrest all thought or cortical activity, thus allowing the evolutionary more primitive areas of the brain to assert itself. The Kindling Model is one of the current interpretations of PTSD. The scientists concluded that those who experienced the kundalini phenomenon were actually reexperiencing primal pain laid down before the brain has completely developed (See Toxic Mind Theory).
Periods of cycling may begin with an environmental stressor, but if the cycles continue or occur unchecked, the brain becomes kindled or sensitized. With repetitive use pathways inside the central nervous system are reinforced so to speak--and future more frequent episodes of depression, hypomania, or mania will occur by themselves independent of an outside stimulus. Thus, to put it simply, brain cells that have once been involved in an seizure episode are more likely to do so again, and more cells will become sensitized over time. Goddard demonstrated that it was possible to induce kindling chemically as well through repeated small exposures to inhaled toxins; or single overwhelming exposures of chemical, visual, auditory, electrical stimulation. It has been shown that substances such as cocaine and alcohol have their own kindling effects which can contribute to bipolar kindling.
As a result of many studies involving the kindling model, many researchers now believe that kindling contributes to both rapid mood cycling and treatment-resistant bipolar disorder. This kindling model also is consistent with cases where cycling began with definite mood triggers, stressful or exciting events, and later became spontaneous. Researchers concluded that there was a need for early and aggressive treatment of bipolar disorder, to prevent the brain from becoming more and more sensitized and going into rapid cycling or manic depression.
A seizure is a sudden involuntary alteration in perception or behavior caused by an abnormal synchronized discharge of cortical neurons in the central nervous system. Epilepsy, on the other hand, refers to chronic recurrent seizures from a primary underlying brain abnormality. Seizures can be attributed to a number of causes including metabolic abnormalities, infections, nutritional deficiencies, or trauma. Emotional stress and sleep deprivation also increase the frequency of seizures, but most seizures occur due to unknown reasons. Seizures can be broadly classified into two major categories: partial, involving onset from a discrete area of the brain that may or may not secondarily generalize to the rest of the brain, and primary generalized, involving simultaneous onset from both hemispheres.
What is really interesting is that pulsed repetitions of telepathic senders have also been shown to increase the reception of telepathic messages. Thus the kindling effect apparently applies to the paranormal channel as well as to more orthodox transmission channels.
DISINHIBITION OF INHIBITION
The two primary regions of the brain that are involved in epilepsy are the cerebral neocortex and the hippocampus. In the neocortex, excitatory synapses are made primarily on the dendritic spines and shaft. The release of neurotransmitters at these sites gives rise to excitatory postsynaptic potentials. The inhibitory synapses are more prominent on the soma or proximal dendrites, and give rise to inhibitory postsynaptic potentials. Abnormal neuronal excitation is thought to occur as a result of disruption of the depolarization and repolarization mechanisms of the cell. Aberrant neuronal networks develop abnormal synchronization resulting in the propagation of an epileptic seizure.
The primary excitatory neurotransmitters in the central nervous system are the amino acids glutamate and aspartate. The primary inhibitory neurotransmitters in the central nervous system are gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and glycine. Excitatory neurotransmitters usually act by opening Na+ or Ca2+ channels, whereas inhibitory neurotransmitters usually open K+ or Cl- channels. Glial are mainly responsible for K+ reuptake.
It seems that one of the mechanisms of kundalini may be the overstimulation of the neuro-inhibitory glycine and GABA receptors in the spine and brainstem, during the hyper-activation of the sympathetic nervous system. This dis-inhibition means the hyper-charge is allowed to continue like wild-fire because the "off switch" has essentially been rendered ineffective. Simply upping one's glycine intake doesn't return neuron inhibition back to normal. Kundalini abates when the glycine receptors themselves become operational again, once the hyper-charge of kundalini up the spine reduces, perhaps when the fire runs out of fuel. Thus kundalini awakening ends when the "charge" reduces and the "glycine receptors" are once more fully receptive and able to do their neuro-inhibiting job.
Compounding this, it might be that when the free radical load goes up with the onset of kundalini, glycine is pulled from all readily available sources in order to make the antioxidant Glutathione (ie: glycine + glutamic acid + cysteine). The cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) would be one of those sources since it contains 100mg of glycine for 100ml of fluid. This reduction in CSF-glycine would further reduce the inhibition of nerve firing up the spine. The wild fire would thus burn until it burns itself out.
Glycine is an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system especially in the spinal cord. The cerebrospinal fluid contains 100 mg of glycine per 100 ml. When glycine receptors are activated, chloride ions enter the neuron and the cell membrane undergoes hyperpolarization, which inhibits the neuron. In seizures the brain naturally accumulates more glycine at the seizure site in order to protect itself by inhibiting neuron firing.
It may be that during the inner-conjunction the kundalini ignition up the spine is so intense that the inhibitory neurotransmitter glycine may have failed to stop the cascade of electro-chemical reactions that constitutes the awakening. The force of the kundalini cascade may overwhelm the normal nerve inhibition of glycine by rendering the glycine receptors useless or "disinhibited." The poison strychnine causes convulsions for this reason. B-alanine and taurine also activate glycine receptors but with lower inhibitory capacity.
In the brain, glutamine is precursor to glutamate is a "on-switch" neurotransmitter, it is also the precursor to GABA which is an "off-switch" neurotransmitter. Lower GABA correspond to increased seizures and epilepsy. Anti-seizure medications work by increasing levels of the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA in the temporal lobes, calming neuronal activity and inhibit nerve cells from overfiring or firing erratically. Glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) is the rate limiting enzyme responsible for conversion of glutamate to gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) regulating levels of glutamate and GABA in the mammalian brain. GABA can be taken as a supplement (L-Glutamine), produces a calming effect on people who struggle with temporal lobe symptoms like temper, irritability, and anxiety.
Many people with temporal lobe problems also suffer from memory problems, which can be helped with Phosphatidyl Serine (PS), Gingko Biloba and Vitamin E. Brain GABA levels depend on both zinc and vitamin B6. Consequently, zinc deficiency may increase the risk of seizures by reducing brain GABA.
Glutamate concentrations in the brain are higher in some seizure patients, and these concentrations can increase to potentially neurotoxic concentrations during seizures causing cell death. One study showed that with a higher dose of B6 (10 mg/kg), the CSF glutamic acid was normalized. It was concluded that the optimal dose of B6 for epileptics should be the dose that normalizes CSF glutamate levels, not just the control of seizures.
Glutamate is the principal excitatory neurotransmitter in the brain thus it inevitably plays a role in the initiation and spread of seizure activity. The process of "kindling" limbic seizures in rodents by repeated electrical stimulation is dependent on activation of N-methyl-D- aspartate (NMDA) receptors. The function of these receptors is enhanced in the hippocampus of kindled rats and in the cerebral cortex of patients with focal epilepsy.
It is probable that the adrenocorticotrophin releasing hormone system in the central nervous system is mainly distributed in the limbic system, and glutamate might be one of the trigger factors to induce excessive stress response in the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis. Acute mania is accompanied by elevated glutamate/glutamine levels within the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex. Glutamate and aspartate NMDA receptor antagonists are one potential mechanism for anticonvulsants.
Psychosis could result from AMPA receptor activation caused by overactivity of the glutamatergic system, due to reduced GABAergic inhibitory control. Expression of messenger RNA for the GABA synthesizing enzyme in the prefrontal cortex and the number of GABAergic neurons in the hippocampus are reduced in schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. GABAa receptor drugs, which activate Cl-, appear more effective as anticonvulsants than GABAb receptor agents, which activate K+. Apparent the GABAa receptor is involved in epilepsy due to its role in the synchronization or desynchronization of thalamus-cortical pathways. The oscillatory and burst-firing of these circuits is attributed to neurons in the thalamus and leads to synchronization and desynchronization of the EEG.
Dr. Stephen Lasley found that brains of rats that are genetically prone to seizures also have reduced levels of taurine as well as increased levels of aspartate. Therefore, I believe that avoidance of aspartame should be a key element in an anti-seizure diet. Also, taurine, in doses of 1-3 grams per day may be helpful.
ENERGY GENERATION
If kundalini starts and you really don't want it then cut all carbs from your diet for 2 weeks, and this should suspend the cascade of change. If stopping the consumption of carbohydrates stops or lessens the progression of kundalini metabolism, this then points to the mechanism of kundalini itself. It is therefore apparent that kundalini is fueled it seems by the burning of glucose "glycolosis" and less so or not at all by ketosis or the burning of fat. Glucose is taken up by glial cells and metabolized by glycolysis to lactate and pyruvate, which are then released as substrates for oxidative phosphorylation in the neurons. Within the brain, glycogen is primarily stored in glial cless, Glycogen stores in the brain are low compared to liver and muscle however the glycogen turnover is very rapid.
Glycolysis is the conversion of glucose to pyruvate and lactate resulting in the net production of only 2 mol of ATP. Pyruvate can enter the Krebs cycle and produce 30 mol of ATP via the mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation cascade. Hence the energetic value of oxidative phosphorylation over glycolysis is obvious. In the early stages of activation the increased energy demand is met by glycolysis rather than oxidative phosphorylation. It was found with PET scans that glucose utilization in activated cortical areas was not matched by an equivalent increase in oxygen consumption, because Glycolysis does not require oxygen to function.
Glucose is the energy fuel for the brain and is almost entirely oxidized to CO2 and H2O. A quarter of the total body's glucose is utilized by the brain although the brain only represents 2% of the body weight. Glucose can be incorporated into lipids, proteins and glycogen, and it is also the precursor to certain neurotransmitters such as GABA, glutamate and acetylcholine. GABA and glutamate serve to regulate the excitability of virtually all neurons in the brain. GABA and glycine are the most important inhibitory neurotransmitters in the brainstem and spinal cord. The neurotransmitter glutamate is derived from glucose, and I think that glutamate is probably the primary neurotransmitter involved in the changes in the conveyance of energy through the nerves.
If Nitric Oxide is produced in excess during certain hyper-kundalini events causing a hypersensitivity to glutamate NMDA receptors, this produces the most radical peak experiences and pivotal height of the awakening cycle itself. Energy metabolism may be controlled by specific neurotransmitters such as norepinephrine (NE). Cell bodies of NE-containing neurons are localized in the brainstem from which axons project to various regions of the brain including the cerebral cortex. Hence the noradrenergic system could regulate energy homeostasis globally in the brain.
Polarity is vitally important for living cells, hence they continually work to generate and maintain regions of differing electrical properties against continual leakage of charge. In fact, the ceaseless work involved in achieving and maintaining these electrical needs consumes some 50Ð60% of the metabolic activity of the cell.
"When our cells are functioning normally, a proton (H+, a hydrogen atom with its positive charge) gradient exists across the oxygen-using parts of our cells, which keep out calcium and sodium ions. But when these oxygen-using parts, the mitochondria, are unable to make ATP, they cannot keep up the gradient. Sodium and calcium ions rush into the cell in a fatal process of cell damage called necrosis. (269) If damage caused by these [oxidative] reactants is not reversed to normal, there will be decreases in the capacity to generate ATP, lower global biochemical activity, and reduced use of free energy. The oxidative poisoning can lead to cell damage or trigger the mechanism of cell self-destruction call apoptosis. (271) Levels of the intracellular antioxidant glutathione fall when ATP is not around. Lowered ATP thus reduces the cell's ability to make more of the ATP it needs more than ever." 270, Eric Schneider & Dorion Sagan, Into the Cool: Energy Flow, Thermodynamics and Life. THE COMBUSTION OF FAT
Ketogenesis is the process by which ketone bodies are produced as a result of fatty acid breakdown. Ketogenesis may or may not occur, dependent on how many carbohydrates are available. Ketone body formation occurs as an alternative energy source during times of prolonged stress e.g. starvation. The initiating event is a change in the ratio of glucagon:insulin in the blood. Insulin deficiency triggers the lipolytic process in adipose tissue with the result that free fatty acids pass into the plasma for uptake by liver and other tissues. Glucagon appears to be the primary hormone involved in the induction of fatty acid oxidation and ketogenesis in the liver. It insures that long-chain fatty acids can be transported through the inner mitochondrial membrane to the enzymes of fatty acid oxidation and ketogenesis.
Ketone bodies are produced mainly in the mitochondria of liver cells when carbohydrates are so scarce that energy must be obtained from breaking down fatty acids. Fatty acids are long chains of carbons with an acid group on one end. The body gets energy from fatty acids by breaking the carbon chain down into pieces that contain only two carbon atoms. These pieces are in the form of acetyl-CoA. When the body has no carbohydrates available, fat instead must be broken down into acetyl-CoA in order to get energy. CoA is not being recycled through the citric acid cycle: it is being attached to more and more acetyl groups. You need more CoA to keep breaking down fats, and the only place to get it is from all those acetyl-CoA molecules, by attaching them to each other to get the CoA to fall off. A large amount of energy is released during this process, which can be used for muscle contraction and all of the other activities in the cell.
L-carnitine acts to increase energy by carrying fat across the cell membrane and into the mitochondria. Energy is then stored as ATP. It reduces the metabolites of fats (ketones) in the blood from incomplete fat metabolism and reduces hyperammonemia.
GLYCOSIS AND KETOGENESIS AND SEIZURES
The Ketogenic or high-fat diet was found to reduce epileptic seizures by a 50 to 70%. Dr. John M. Freeman, in The Epilepsy Diet Treatment recommends a stringent diet consisting of high fat, low protein, low carbohydrate foods. Generally the ketogenic diet consists of 4 parts fat to 1 part protein/carbohydrate. Notice that protein also is low, the theory being that the body can turn protein into sugars also. This extreme measure might be necessary for epileptics to reduce seizure, but it is simply no way to be generally healthy. Complications can include nutrient deficiency, kidney stones, abnormal liver function, high cholesterol, weight gain, dehydration and bone thinning. Not to mention all the extra free radicals generated from such a high fat diet.
Such extreme measures are perhaps not necessary for a kundalini awakening, however there is much to learn from the ketogenic diet about how we might modify our diet to best serve our awakening. Of paramount importance however is to prevent the spiking of blood sugar to concerve the integrity of protein structures and prevent glycation, so you can convey a deeper more focused consciousness. This is achieved by ensuring that our carbohydrate quotient consists of low glycemic, non-starchy, high fiber to prevent blood sugar spiking. I also find that raw carbohydrates are much easier on the body and on de-fogging and lucidity than all forms of cooked carbohydrate. Reduce the blood sugar and kundalini doesn't spark up to an all-consuming flame.
During a kundalini awakening the body is in a mode of hyper-energy generation. The cells are producing more energy (via hyperactivated mitochondria)…what energy is not converted to ATP is given off as heat. This extra cellular energy in the nerves causes certain glutamate receptors (NMDA) to be hyperactive increasing the action potential and release of neurotransmitters in the synapses. Thus the sympathetic nervous system is in hyperdrive, and the off switch receptors (parasympathetic, glycine, GABA) are over stimulated hence cannot perform their normal inhibitory functions.
The heat of kundalini itself further exacerbates the excitation of the nerves by facilitating ion movement and increasing neurotransmitter release. Researchers from St Louis School of Medicine have discovered that ‘cooling’ the neurons responsible for focal epileptic seizures can stop the seizure from ever happening without doing any harm to the brain cells. Cold seemed to prevent the nerve cells firing probably through interfering with the movement of ions in the cells and preventing the release of neurotransmitters.
As the kundi-fired body is in a HPA axis activated state, the liver generates and releases more glycogen to fuel this fire. Cell apoptosis (cell death) occurs through excess free radicals and high glutamate and Ca2+ levels and body tissues are catabolically dismantled and turned into glycogen. The hyperactivity of the limbic brain turns on the pleasure centers generating copious endogenous opiates and cannaboids…and these increase compulsivity so that the individual is attracted to eating carbohydrates (sugar) to fuel the increased energy demand. The body is asking for more energy, and this can be achieved by drinking water (ie: hydroelectric energy). Giving in to sugar cravings while in kundalini will cause blood sugar spiking that can severely damage tissues and turn the body toward insulin resistence and down-regulate other receptors as well.
Besides the reduction of excess glutamate and Ca2+ release, perhaps another reason why the ketogenic diet works could be the actual physical blocking of insulin receptors with cholesterol due to the high fat content of the diet. This blocking would reduce sugar/glucose uptake by the cells and prevent the energy surge that initiates kindling of seizures. Since the ketogenic diet is so low on carbohydrates the usual blood sugar spiking that initates excessive levels of inslin and leptin and associated down-regulation of receptors is avoided.
By eliminating the majority of cooked/high-gylcemic/starchy carbohydrates from one’s diet the fog of bliss can be lifted. Avoid sugars, honey, artificial sweeteners, grains, fruit and anything starchy or sweet except perhaps sativa. Green vegetables, tomatoes and avocados can be eaten but avoid “starchy” plants like rice, potatoes, corn, and “sweet” ones like carrots and beets. You will find that after less than three days of eliminating sweet and starchy foods the bliss-fog significantly clears. I experienced less magnetic activity around my head, probably due to reduced “kindling” or firing of the nerves in the brain. Body pain did not increase, although there was a little tiredness from the rapid cutoff of carbohydrates.
By reducing carbohydrates in our diet kundalini still remains but greatly subdued. Even during peak estrogen day of the month, if not given its glycogen fuel kundalini did not rise significantly. That is, even if all the other triggers are available (thyroxin, sex hormones, DHEA, adrenaline etc…) if there is not a surplus of glucose available in the blood, then kundalini does not increase its fire. Knowing this is a radical boon for people going through kundalini awakenings, and for seizure, epilepsy, psychosis and probably bipolar depression etc.. You might find that during and after a kundalini awakening you may want or need to adopt a low carb diet indefinitely.
One possibility why the ketogenic diet controls epilepsy is that the diet alters brain handling of glutamate, the major excitatory neurotransmitter and a probable factor in evoking and perpetuating a convulsion. Researchers found that brain metabolism of ketone bodies can furnish as much as 30% of glutamate and glutamine carbon. Ketone body metabolism also provides acetyl-CoA to the citrate synthetase reaction, in the process consuming oxaloacetate and thereby diminishing the transamination of glutamate to aspartate. Relatively more glutamate then is available to the glutamate decarboxylase reaction, which increases brain GABA. Ketosis also increases brain GABA by increasing brain metabolism of acetate, which glia convert to glutamine. GABA-ergic neurons readily take up the acetate and use it as a precursor to GABA.
Ketosis also may be associated with altered amino acid transport at the blood-brain barrier. Specifically, ketosis may favor the release of glutamine from the brain, through transporters at the blood-brain barrier exchanging it for blood leucine. Since brain glutamine is formed in astrocytes (glial) from glutamate, the overall effect will be to favor the release of glutamate from the nervous system.
Astrocytes are glial cells which make up 80% of the mass of the brain and communicate with neurons via changes in Ca2+. Intracellular Ca2+ mediates changes in membrane proteins to initiate transmitter release and ion channel opening; it also activates enzymes to allow neurons to cover or uncover receptor sites that alter neuronal sensitivity. Several studies indicate that following the rise of calcium, astrocytes release the amino acid glutamate, which helps them talk to the neurons. The communication flows both ways, with neurons also being able to talk to the astrocytes through their own glutamate release. Signaling molecules, such as ATP and prostaglandins, also appear to promote the cell-to-cell communication.
Communication between astrocytes and neurons may aid memory. Adding glutamate to cell samples of astrocytes prompts them to produce special molecules that nourish neurons, known as neurotrophins, that are key to memory function. In one recent study, injections of trophic factors into the brains of rats boosted the biological mechanisms known to relate to memory and improved the rats' performance in a memory task. This all may mean that glutamate release from neurons triggers astrocytes to produce neurotrophic factors, which then help neurons process information for memory.
High blood sugar (hyperglycemia) is implicated in increasing the likelihood of seizure. Ordinarily, insulin prods the liver to decrease its production of glucose. It also helps the body's fat and muscle tissues use glucose in the blood for energy. Insulin has many roles including stimulating and balancing immune function, stimulating revascularization, stimulating neuron and oligodendrocyte growth, reducing cell death, stimulating myelination and re-myelination of neurons, stimulating differentiation and proliferation of neural stem cells, increasing permeability and transport of nutrients and wastes across cell membranes and the blood-brain barrier. (Oligodendrocyctes are the structures responsible for myelination. The presence of NMDA receptors in oligodendrocyte processes presents a mechanism by which demyelination might occur under excessive glutamate/Ca2+ conditions.)
LACK OF GLUTAMATE CLEARING
Patients suffering from temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE), experienced increased extracellular glutamate levels in the hippocampus both during and after clinical seizures. These increased glutamate levels could be the result of malfunctioning and/or downregulation of glutamate transporters, indicating impaired clearance of glutamate released by neurons. Glutamate is predominantly cleared by glial cells through the excitatory amino acid transporter 2 (EAAT2) and its subsequent conversion to glutamine by the glial enzyme glutamine synthetase.
Cerebrospinal Fluid, limbic, temporal and striatum glutamine concentrations are implicated in schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and major depression. The answer, it appears, is by cleaning up their synapses. For LTP to occur, a presynaptic neuron must release the glutamate in a continuous manner. Normally, glutamate is removed from the synaptic cleft by housekeeping proteins, known as glutamate transporters, in the postsynaptic neuron. Suspecting that this glutamate-removal system might play a role in maintaining input specificity,
An increase in the extracellular concentration of glutamate and aspartate before or during seizure onset, suggesting that either enhanced amino acid release or impaired uptake contributes to seizure initiation. Glutamate antagonists are potent anticonvulsants and provide significant protection against brain damage following stroke or traumatic injury, but can have cognitive side effects. Anticonvulsant compounds which act on sodium channels and reduce ischemia-induced glutamate release, are cerebroprotective but are free from the cognitive side effects of NMDA-receptor antagonists.
In developing a supplemental protocol for kundalini we would do well to consider Ward Deans article Seizures: A Nutritional Approach at www.vrp.com/
For seizure Ward Dean M.D. suggests:
