Cycles of the Serpent All cycles of time and motion are the duration of the life cycle of the Serpent. As life force, the Serpent is created at the beginning of a cycle of time, and at the end of the cycle it consumes itself. This cycle is symbolized by the ouroboros symbol above. The length of a Serpent Cycle is always a multiple of 13, a truth known of by the Mayan Serpent People who built their principal calendar, the Tzolkin of 260 days, around the base measurement of 13 (13 x 20). The Tzolkin, which consists of 13 "weeks" of 20 days, is recognized to be the most accurate calendar ever formulated. Another Serpent Cycle of the Maya that is extremely relevant today is the larger cycle of 13 Baktuns (1Baktun = 394 years) that is coming to a close in 2012. This cycle, which is 5125 years in length and culminates in a new era, began in 3113 BCE and ends on December 21, 2012, a day that the Mayans recorded as 13.0.0.00.
The Earth is currently under the influence of a huge Left Hand Spiral that is pulling it towards the center of the galaxy. This is and will be the cause of intense purification and eventually ascension for much of Earth and all humanity. To align with the spiral and gain the most benefit from it we should all be intensifying our daily spiritual practices of alchemy and meditation. The development of gnostic awareness and the ability to receive guidance from the inner Self is imperative right now. Inner guidance will assist us in knowing where we need to be during the next couple of years and what our special role is now and in the new era. Certainly many of us Dragons are destined to be the trailblazers and teachers in the New World.
The knowledge regarding the Cycles of the Serpent are part of the Dragon Mysteries which are being taught in the IRDC Correspondence Course and during the upcoming Dragon Master Seminars. The Dragon Mysteries should be studied by all those in the IRDC who feel called to follow the ancient path of the Dragon Masters, and certainly by those who are destined to eventually teach this path to others.
