HI&RH Prince Nicholas Tarnawa-de Vere von Drakenberg
KGC., KCD., KT.St.A.S. Sovereign Prince and Grand Duke of
the Incorporeal Sovereign Nation State of Drakenberg. Sovereign
Grand Master of the Imperial and Royal Dragon Court, Sovereign
Grand Master and Commander-in-Chief of the Order of Knights Templars.
Vere Descent from the Tsars of Russia and the Dynasty of Ryurikovich via Princess Richilde and the Kings of Poland
1. Grand Prince of Kiev (sometimes Grand Duke of Kiev) was the title of the Kievan prince and the ruler of Kievan Rus in the 9th–12th centuries.
Rurik (or Ryurik), a Scandinavian Varangian, was at the roots of Kievan Rus. He founded the Rurikovich dynasty that would rule Kievan Rus', Rus' principalities and early Russian Tsardom for the next 700 years. Rurik's capital was the northern city of Novgorod. His successor Oleg relocated the capital to Kiev (now the capital of Ukraine) at around 880, thus laying the foundation of what has become known as Kievan Rus'.
While the early rulers of Rus' were Scandinavians, they gradually merged into the local Slavic population. Still, in the 11th century, Yaroslav, (called Jarisleif in Scandinavian chronicles) maintained the dynastic links, married a Swedish princess, and gave asylum to king Olaf II of Norway.
The movement of nobility also went in the opposite direction. According to Adam of Bremen, Anund Gårdske, a man from Kievan Rus' was elected king of Sweden, ca 1070. As he was a Christian, however, he refused to sacrifice to the Aesir at the Temple at Uppsala and he was deposed by popular vote.
The unity of Kievan Rus' gradually declined, and was all but gone by 1136. After that period Kievan Rus' shattered into a number of smaller states, southern of which contested for the throne of Kiev.
Kievan Rus' was finally destroyed by the Mongols in 1237, but the Riurikovich line persisted and continued to rule Rus' principalities.
2. Rurik – a red-headed Viking – thus called the RUS (red) was born in Fresia. Son of King Haarik, Rurik Led the invasion into what became "RUS-SIA." (or land of the Red). In Henrikson's Chronicles, he states "According to the Russian Nestor chronicle in 862, a prince named Rurik came from the other side of the (North) sea, and founded a kingdom with Novgorod as its center. Two of his companions, Askild and Dir, continued southward to Kiev and settled there, after which they made an unsuccessful expedition to Constantinople. this chronicle, which calls Rurik's people the RUS (The Reds), and the invading Vikings VARJAGER, claims that the invaders originated the RUSSIAN (The RUS) empire." (Webster's Biog. Dict. = Rurik or Ryurik d. 879 AD reputed founder of the Russian empire, said to have been a Scandinavian chief who conquered Novogorod ca 862. The house of Rurik was a Russian royal family, all descended from Rurik. Extinct in 1598. Rurik had two Varangian brothers – Lech and Czech – who founded Poland and Czechoslovakia (Bohemia) respectively, whose royal dynasties are consequently of Scandinavian origins deriving ultimately from the Anunnaki and carry their red gene 16q23.4.

HI&RH Prince Nicholas de Vere
Royal Descent of the House of Vere from the Kings of the Ostrogoths via Prince Milo de Vere
The Ostrogoths of Romania and Transylvania
Ostrogoths (East Goths), division of the Goths, one of the most important groups of the Germans. According to their own unproven tradition, the ancestors of the Goths were the Gotar of S Sweden. By the 3d cent. AD, the Goths settled in the region N of the Black Sea. They split into two divisions, their names reflecting the areas in which they settled; the Ostrogoths settled in Ukraine, while the Visigoths, or West Goths, moved further west of them. By c.375 the Huns conquered the Ostrogothic kingdom ruled by Ermanaric, which extended from the Dniester River, north and east to the headwaters of the Volga River. The Ostrogoths were subject to the Huns until the death (453) of Attila, when they settled in Pannonia (roughly modern Hungary) as allies of the Byzantine (East Roman) empire. The Ostrogoths, who had long elected their rulers, chose (471) Theodoric the Great as king. A turbulent ally, the Byzantine emperor, Zeno, commissioned Theodoric to reconquer Italy from Odoacer. The Ostrogoths entered Italy in 488, defeated and slew (493) Odoacer, and set up the Ostrogothic kingdom of Italy, with Ravenna as their capital. After Theodoric's death (526) his daughter Amalasuntha was regent for her son Athalric. She placed herself under the protection of the Byzantine emperor Justinian I. Her murder (535) served as pretext for Justinian to send Belisarius to reconquer Italy. He crushed the Ostrogothic kingdom, but on his recall (541) the Ostrogoths rebelled under the leadership of Totila. In 552 the Byzantine general Narses defeated Totila, who fell in battle. As a result, the Ostrogoths lost their national identity, and the hegemony over Italy passed to Byzantium and shortly afterward to the Lombards. Under the Ostrogothic kings, the culture of late antiquity was revived by Boethius and Cassiodorus; Dionysius Exiguus compiled church law; and Saint Benedict laid the basis of Western monasticism. Roman law and institutions were for the most part maintained; however, the Ostrogoths were resented as aliens by the Italians, from whom they differed not only in culture but also in religion, since they were Arians.
